Planning a Degree is quite often a student’s first experience of University.

After deciding what they’d like to be when they graduate they need to wade through a Student Guide, pick the right Majors and Minors to suit their career choice, then select subjects from a myriad of options all the while keeping track of required pre-requisites, co-requisites and even anti-requisites. They’re sometimes torn between what they’re interested in and what they need to earn their degree.

They often need help so they reach out to a busy Course Advisor who walks them through their options. More often than not, it takes a few visits before they finalise their Plan, especially with overseas students.

Research found that over 70% of first year students needed some help with their planning with a lot of those students needing more than one visit to the Advisor. Those visits are repeated if the student wants to change their degree or their Major.
